Paper Smooches Sparks challenge

I made this for the Paper Smooches Sparks designer drafts challenge. I imagine it as either a congrats/graduation card, or a funny birthday card. Haven't decided the inside sentiment yet.
I used a Paper Smooches notebook basic die and their "slang gang" stamp set. I loooooove their stamps and I have a monthly membership.  Check them out at www.papersmoochesstamps.com The bike and arrow stamps and matching dies are from a Sizzix set.

I made this card a while ago but never put it up. I actually have lots of cards that I have yet to share, just been too busy lately with work and life (hubby and I are starting the process to buy our 1st home)

My best friend's BF's Bday is coming up so Im attempting to hit 2 birds with 1 stone here...Bday card for him and a challenge entry for me. I'm entering this into Shop Pumpkin Spice's challenge #24- Black and White

I actually made this card for my 19-year old sister.  The inside says "Pervy Kitten thinks You're Sexy!" hahaha

Quickie

I decided to make this cute card for My Craft Spot's Challenge #93 "Tags"
My Craft Spot is the first blog I followed when I started making cards and it is also the reason that I started my own blog.  I love MCS.
I used Paper Smooches' "Spiffy Scooter" stamp set for the scooter and the sentiment.

Big Brothers Card

One of my good friends just had a baby girl.  I made this card for her twin boys who are now big brothers!  I used Paper Smooches' Cutasaurus set and their matching dies (Dinos 1 & 2).  I sprayed the background with Mister Huey's Honeydew and Audrey sprays.  I popped up the little pink dino to make it look like she just burst from her egg.  It says "BIG BROS" on the inside.

Stamp Haul and Generosity

Hi all, I wanted to make a post about a few new goodies that I recently received.  First off it's Lawn Fawn.  I just love their stamps and lawn cuts.  They are so whimsical and JUST up my alley.  I'm also now a fan of their papers.  And do you know why?  Because they gave me 3 6"x6" sample papers from their Daphne's Closet collection with my order.  For free!  They are beautiful and a very nice quality.  Good and thick.  AND they are double-sided.  BONUS!!!!  On top of the 3 free papers, I was also given a free sentiment stamp that says "Many Thanks".  So cute.  OK LOVE this company.
These are the goodies that I actually paid for :D

critters in the forest - lawn cuts
The top three images are my new stamps sets (Summertime Charm, Flying By, and Say Cheese).  The next 2 images are my new Lawn Cuts die sets that coordinate with their stamps (Summertime Charm and Critters in the Forest).

--------------------------------------------------------------
Next up, it's Sweet Stamp Shop.  Now, I ordered some of their stamps a few weeks ago and was going to write about this then, but forgot.  I ordered 3 of their sets, and they threw in a set of action wobbles for free.  I was NOT expecting that.  Well, their stamps are so cute and their customer service is so good, that I will continue to be a faithful customer of theirs.  In fact, I put in another order earlier this week.  This is what I have from a few weeks ago...

This is what I ordered a few days ago and can't wait to receive!

So, essentially, this post is a "love note" to these 2 companies who make excellent products and have excellent customer service and generosity.  "Many Thanks"  <3

Frilly

I love their themes and they are so nice to play with.

I combined 2 wood-mounted stamps that I have, both from Michaels (jar and flowers).  I hand drew the stems and added tiny punched out leaves.  Those little buggers were tedious, but I like how they look

Another

This one I made for one of my sisters.  I'm going to enter this one into the Twinery's challenge #003 as well. For this one I used Lilac twine.

Banner Easter Cards

I made a few new Easter cards for my family.  This one is going off to my grandparents.
I am entering this card into the Twinery's TT003 challenge "It's a Banner Day!"  I used their Blossom twine to string the egg banner

Last egg

This is the last egg card that I made.  I popped up the surrounding polka dotted purple bit.  I added texture to the center egg with Darice's Argyle embossing folder, then I brushed ink all over it to give it depth.  Cute.

Egg-cellent

Here is another Easter card.  For this one, I popped up the center egg, not the surrounding green part.  There's some "blossom" twine in there from The Twinery.  They make a great product.
I'm entering this into PTT's challenge #112 as well

Egg cards

So I decided that I wanted to make a few more egg-shaped cards since Easter is fast approaching.
This one is probably my favorite of the 3 that I will show you in a minute.  The center egg has 6 different washi tapes making up its pattern and color.  The yellow outside is popped up and I added a fun twine detail.  The twine is from The Twinery (Caribbean color, so pretty).  The card base is a pretty blue cardstock called "Bluebell" from Paper Source.

Scraps

I had this fun negative image left over after I cut a few clovers for my last project, so I thought I'd fashion another card.  The clover negatives are "Lky Ttl-s" cut from Create A Critter 2.  I used some green chevron washi tape and a large faux bois background stamp.  There's plenty of twine there too, from The Twinery.  I used their Peapod and Honeydew colors.

Green Beer

Lots of great inspiration this week.  This is the card I came up with after I pondered all the fun challenges from my favorite craft blogs.

I'm entering this into the following challenges:
My Craft Spot's Challenge #89 "Tasty Treats"   ...Beer is a treat for me, especially at the end of a long work day, so I figured it'd fly as a "tasty treat".  Feel free to agree or disagree.  It's cool.

Materials:
"Cheers" Die Cut=Cricut Craft room freebie from months ago.  It's from the Spring Holiday Cards seasonal cartridge.
Martha Stewart Glitter Glue
Distress Inks (Vintage Photo and Tea Dye) for inking around the edges
Peachy Keen face stamp from PK-486 In Stitches Face Asst.
Paper Source base card in "Khaki"
Martha Stewart button embossing punch

Challenge Inspiration

I was going through some of my favorite craft blogs and found a few challenges that really inspired me.  Here is the birthday card that I created using that inspiration:
This is the inspiration they provided:

I'm also entering this card into The Twinery's "Let's Polka...Dot" challenge

I used their "Charcoal" and "Maraschino" twines.  I just got them yesterday and I LOVE them!

New Twine

Huzzah!  My goodies from The Twinery came!  I decided to start making a few Easter cards that I could send to my family and thought adding some twine would be a cute touch.  Then, I was browsing The Twinery's blog and saw they had a challenge going and I couldn't resist.  I'm entering this egg-shaped card into The Twinery's "Let's Polka...Dot!" challenge.   I strung the banner with their "Marigold" colored twine.  Love the touch.  I embossed the center egg with Darice's "Dot" embossing folder.
Check out The Twinery's blog and challenge here!

Twinery

Yay! Now I'm going to be stalking my own mailbox for the next week. I've just purchased a sampler pack from The Twinery and can't wait to start using the goods. I went with the "Colorful Bunch Sampler Pack". I see others use their twine in projects and it always looks so lovely. They have an offer code right now for 25% off until Feb 19th. Offer code: VDAY25OFF

One last Valentine

This little fella is just bursting with love!  I used a small A1 card base from David Tutera's Celebrate line.  The whale and all of the hearts are cut from the Create A Critter cartridge.  It's free to use in the Cricut Craft Room right now, so I did some exploring.  I jazzed it up with some of Martha Stewart's glitter glue and I used Glossy Accents on the little water spout, but you really can't tell.  The stamped sentiment is from Fiskars set.  Sorry about the photo, I could not get the dang camera to focus well on this for whatever reason.

To The Perfect Pear

I made this as either an anniversary or a congratulatory wedding/engagement card.  I haven't decided you, so I have left the inside un-stamped. I like how the coloring turned out, especially on the yellow pear.  I used a sponge to ink up both pears to look more realistic.  I popped the green pear up to make it a little more interesting. The pears are cut from the "Just Because" Cards cartridge, pg. 36.  The "to the" and "Perfect Pear" stamps are both Peachy Keen stamps from the PK-162 Fruit Sentiments ONE set that I just got.  I just got married recently and I wanted this card to be different from all the standard (yet lovely) cards the hubby and I received when we got engaged and then married.
I am entering this into Peachy Keen's Challenge 13-6 "Anything Goes" and Party Time Tuesday's Challenge #107 "3 and 3"  (I used 3 accents in the bottom right corner)

Peachy Keen

Well, I've gone and done it.  I've been seeing so many people use Peachy Keen stamps in their craft projects that I went ahead and purchased a few small sets to play around with.  I'm absolutely blown away by their quality!!!  I assumed they would be like all the other clear/cling/acrylic stamps that I own, but they are stiffer, more solid, and I like it!  I'm super impressed and I'm sure I'll be picking up more in the future.
Here they are:
 PK-294 The Cornies 1 1/8"
PK-162 Fruit Sentiments ONE
PK-943 Funshine Face Parts

I'm going to say right now that I wish I had ordered the Funshine Face Parts in a larger size, but oh well!

Hoppy Valentimes

I had a lot of fun making this Valentine.  I added a few extra elements that took additional time, but I like how it turned out.  The card backing is a 5.5"x 5.5" khaki folded card from Paper Source.  I LOOOOOVE Paper Source.  I made all of my wedding invites and thank yous from their paper.  Such high quality and beautiful colors.  I made the clock out of Shrinky Dinks shrinkable plastic.  It makes me giggle to look at this fella because he reminds me of Flava Flav.    The frog was cut from the Create A Critter 2 cartridge.  I embossed the frog with a Darice embossing folder called "Dot".  I added Glossy Accents to the hearts inside the butterfly's wings and added 2 different Washi tapes to the top and bottom of the card.

I stamped the sentiment using ColorBox's Petal Point Classic Pigment Inkpad and alphabet stamps from My Sentiments Exactly.  I quite enjoy the double pun :)
Cheers from the frigid North!  It's snowing like crazy here in MN.

Valentine's Cards

These are the 3 cards that I made for my 2 sisters and Mom/Dad.  They all follow a heart-stitched-on-a-clothesline sort of theme.  At least that's what I was going for.
I think that I like this one best, but it's hard to decide

I am entering this card in: PTT's #106 LOVE and ROMANCE
PumpkinSpice's Challenge #5 Hearts.  Check out their store at ShopPumpkinSpice.com
The Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog #147 Queen of Hearts

Here are the other 2 valentines up close:
